New Zealand’s third Patient Safety Week is being held from 30 October–5 November 2016, coordinated by the Health Quality & Safety Commission.

Patient Safety Week is a commitment to consumers and patients that our health services strive to provide the best and safest care possible, every time.

District health boards (DHBs) and other providers will mark Patient Safety Week in a number of ways, including the display of posters and patient information in hospitals, media promotions, adverts in community newspapers emphasising DHBs’ commitment to providing the best and safest care, quality and safety focused grand rounds, booths and competitions.
