Insulin is a high-risk medicine. Which insulin is your patient on? Check with them.
- If the wrong insulin is chosen your patient could be harmed.
- Use unit rather than mLs.
- Don’t use the abbreviation for unit – write unit in full.
- Write the dose clearly.
