Taranaki DHB introduced a new initiative for 2016's Patient Safety Week in order to help spread the week's key health messages. Every single hot drink sold at the two hospital's cafeterias and the Espresso Alley café at Taranaki Base Hospital had new Patient Safety Week stickers on the lid which delivered one of a number of key messages related to falls prevention, advance care planning and good communication between patients, whanau and healthcare staff.

That's more than 1500 people getting a specific Patient Safety Week message they may not have otherwise known about!
